Donation fund overview

As a donor you can decide what the money you donated is spent on. You can decide which one of six funds you want your donation to be credited to:

Client fund

This fund's resources are to be used exclusively for the benefit of sick, injured, elderly or handicapped people who require Spitex' services and live within SPITEX BERN's area of operation:

To assist individuals e.g. by covering the costs of measures taken to make their lives easier. Contributions can also be made toward the cost of services provided by Spitex if all other financial possibilities (insurance, own income/assets, etc.) have been exhausted.
To support measures taken in the interest of the entire group of those eligible and cannot be financed otherwise.

Fund for innovation and development

To finance projects or individual innovation/development measures at SPITEX BERN. These projects or measures can include:

Sustainability (e.g. procurement of decision-making information related to the corporate strategy)
Streamlining/increasing efficiency Determining, ensuring and improving quality
Introducing new services

Staff fund

This fund's resources are to be used exclusively for the benefit of staff, i.e. individual employees or the staff of SPITEX BERN as a whole, for purposes such as:

Further education
Team development
Financial support in cases of hardship, early retirement, job cuts, etc.

Funds for palliative outpatient care

The monies from this fund are exclusively intended for the development of oncology nursing outside hospitals (SEOP) and for the optimisation of the at-home care of tumour patients. The lack of care organisations frequently results in the need to hospitalise cancer patients, despite the fact that they would actually prefer to spend the last stage of their life at home and would prefer to die there. SEOP was founded in January 2001 and received support from the Bernese Cancer League until the end of 2003.

Kidsspitex fund

The monies from this fund may only be used in connection with Kidspitex.

Financing of projects or individual measures
Purchase of toys and objects for the distraction of the children during the Spitex assignment
Financial support to Kidspitex cases of hardship. Other means of financing (insurance payouts, own income/assets, etc.) must have been exhausted beforehand.

Education and further training fund

The monies from this fund are exclusively intended for the benefit of SPITEX BERN’s staff. The monies may only be used for training and further education.

When making a donation, please always indicate its intended use. Donations that do not state a purpose will be used to fulfil the association's general responsibilities
