Overview Terms of employment SPITEX BERN

Probationary period 

  • Three months

Termination 

  • Seven days during the probationary period
  • Three months to the end of a month once the probationary period has been completed
  • Four months to the end of a month after ten years of service

Working hours 

  • 42 hours, i.e. 8.24 hours per day
  • Flexible, progressive working hours for employees and executives, opportunity to work part-time, employed with either monthly or hourly wages

Recreation leave  

Monthly wages

  • 22 working days until the employee’s 50th birthday
  • 27 working days from the employee’s 50th birthday
  • 32 working days from the employee’s 60th birthday
  • 27 working days until the employee’s 20th birthday
  • An additional five days of recreation leave for the executives

Hourly wages

  • 9.24% of the hourly wages for 22 working days
  • 11.59% of the hourly wages for 27 working days
  • 14.04% of the hourly wages for 32 working days
  • 3.077% of the hourly wages as public holiday bonus

Remuneration

  • Payment in line with the market, based on the BERESUB remuneration system of the Cantonal Health and Public Welfare Directorate
  • In accordance with the finances of the business, results bonuses are awarded at the employee level and performance bonuses are awarded at the executive level

Allowances  

Child allowances, monthly (workload-independent)

  • For children up to 16 years of age - CHF 230
  • For children older than 16 – CHF 290

Care allowances, monthly (workload-dependent) per family

  • For one child CHF 250
  • For two children CHF 180
  • For three children CHF 110
  • For four children CHF 40
  • For five or more children CHF 0

Pension fund  

  • Previs Personalvorsorgestiftung Service Public, Wabern
  • Premiums: 35.50% share to be paid by the employee/64.50% share to be paid by the employer

Daily benefits insurance  

  • Full wages for a period of two months. For further days of sick leave 80% of the insured wages, the maximum total duration of payment is 720 days
  • Premiums: 1/3 to be paid by the employee/2/3 to be paid by the employer

Accident insurance  

  • Occupational accidents and non-occupational accidents are insured in accordance with the accident insurance. Non-occupational accidents are only insured if the weekly working time totals 8 hours or more.
  • Premiums relating to occupational accidents: paid by the employer 
  • Premiums relating to non-occupational accidents: ½ paid by the employee/½ paid by the employer

Health insurance  

  • No collective agreement. The employer does not pay any contributions into a personal health insurance fund.

  • Regulated in the expenses and vehicle rules

Flexible working hours guarantee that all employees – even the executive staff – can choose to work full- or part-time at either a monthly or hourly wage. In most cases requests for a change of workload can be realised at reasonably short notice.
